Prayagraj: Along with making Mahakumbh 2025 grand and divine, the Yogi government is also emphasizing on making it safe for all. Various action plans have been made for this. Many arrangements are also being made by the Mahakumbh Police. In this sequence, emphasis is also being laid on community policing by the Mahakumbh Police. Especially the youth are being encouraged to keep a close eye on the activities happening around and if they see anything wrong, they should immediately inform the police. This means that the responsibility of security is not only of the police, but the youth of Prayagraj will also now work as the eyes and ears of the police.
Youth’s movement will benefit all: Extensive preparations have been made by the UP Police for the organization of Mahakumbh. The entire Mahakumbh has been divided into seven-level security circles. Apart from this, arrangements have been made to monitor the suspects through AI-equipped CCTV cameras through ICCC, while there is also a preparation to run 10 types of security operations in the fair area. In this sequence, community policing is also being resorted to to make the security system fool proof. Communication is being established with the people of Prayagraj through social media and other means that if they see any kind of suspicious activity anywhere, they should immediately inform the police. Youth are being specially included in this, because a large number of youth move to schools, colleges, universities as well as various places in Prayagraj.
Youth will join as volunteers: SSP Mahakumbh Rajesh Dwivedi said that youth will also have a huge contribution in organizing the Mahakumbh. They will join us as volunteers to project the Mahakumbh through digital media and will also assist the police in crowd management including the movement of pilgrims and tourists. An action plan has been prepared for this and it will be implemented soon.
Will keep an eye on suspicious activities: He said that the cooperation of the community in any big event is important from the security point of view. To make the world’s largest mass event Mahakumbh safe, the police needs the cooperation of the citizens of the district. Especially the youth power, which is active everywhere. If they see something suspicious from social media to any part of the district, they can inform the police. For this, the youth are being encouraged and made aware of the basic things they need to keep in mind for their own safety and that of the visiting pilgrims and tourists. Various private organisations and institutions are also cooperating with the police in this. At the local level, the youth are being motivated to cooperate with the police through seminars and street plays.
